Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures

We provide the most current cosmetic treatments available to the practicing dermatologist.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy is the only non-invasive energy device FDA-approved to lift and tighten skin on the neck, jawline, full face, brow, and décolleté (chest).

Ultherapy can be used to treat axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm perspiration).

With sun exposure and through the natural aging process, we know that a person’s skin loses its elasticity.  Jawlines lose their definition, jowels develop, neck skin becomes loose, cheeks sag, and eyebrows droop.  All of these changes contribute to the appearance of aging of the skin.

Patients who may not be ready for a facelift, or who don’t want to go under the knife, may benefit from this treatment.

Ultherapy involves the use of microfocused ultrasound waves delivered to the deepest levels of skin to cause heat injury.  The deepest levels of skin provide support to the skin, and are the same layers that are targeted with a surgical facelift.  As the ultrasound waves collide, heat energy is produced which works to tighten collagen.

There is no downtime with this procedure because the results are achieved through the use of ultrasound waves.

It takes about three months to see the positive effects of lifting and tightening.  Results persist for three years or longer.  This is a one-time treatment that can be used again down the road as skin aging continues to occur.

Ultherapy can be combined on the same day with Botox or Xeomin neurotoxins and hyaluronic acid fillers.

Our estheticians provide the treatment.

Costs range from $400 to $3500 depending on extent of areas treated.

Aquagold

With time collagen and elastic fibers in the skin breakdown, and the quality and appearance of skin appears drier, rougher, less firm and healthy. While skincare products and traditional facials treat the skin surface to help with these changes, AquaGold Booster treatments restore skin health and beauty from within by microneedling with super fine (thinner than the size of your hair) hollow 24-karat gold needles and delivering into the skin our Derm Institute proprietary blend of ingredients that hydrate the skin, reduce pore size, and smooth fine lines for a fresh and glowing appearance.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

With aging comes loss of skin elasticity and a reduction in hyaluronic acid, which provides plumpness to the skin. Restylane is a  clear gel composed of hyaluronic acid that are injected directly into facial lines and furrows around the nasolabial folds (area from the nose to the corner of the mouth), lips, and chin. Restylane Silk is the first and only FDA-approved product specifically designed for subtle lip enhancement and the smoothing of wrinkles and lines around the mouth.  These treatments restore plumpness and reduces the appearance of fine lines. Juvederm is an additional filler that provides a smooth fill to fine lines in and around the lips and melolabial folds.  Juvederm Voluma provides mid-face volumizing.

BOTOX

BOTOX Cosmetic, the most commonly performed cosmetic procedure, is used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes and forehead to smooth crow’s feet, frown and worry lines. Made from a purified protein, BOTOX injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look. In addition, BOTOX is FDA-approved for the treatment of severe axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

Xeomin

Xeomin is an injectible used to treat wrinkles.  It is used to smooth worry lines above the eyebrow.

Chemical Peels

We offer a full range of chemical peels, including TCA, Jessner’s, salicylic acid, and glycolic acids in varying strengthes.  Chemical peels address rough texture, fine lines, dyspigmentation, precancers, acne breakouts, and photodamage.   A series of peels may be necessary to achieve optimal results.  Glycolic, and salicylic acid peels are more superficial peels that allow for minimal downtime.  Jessner’s and lower strength TCA peels allow for a more exuberant peel.  Deeper peels using TCA are used to address moderate to severe sun damage and superficial actinic keratoses (precancers).

Our most popular peel has become the ViPeel.  The VI Peel improves the tone, texture and clarity of the skin; reduce or eliminate age spots, freckles, and hyper-pigmentation, including melasma; soften lines and wrinkles and stimulate the production of collagen, for firmer, more youthful skin. Vi Peel also works well in conjunction with lasers, injectables and post procedure.

Microdermabrasion

We offer DiamondGlow Dermalinfusion, a non-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure providing advanced exfoliation and the delivery of condition-specific topicals.  Please visit www.diamondglow.com

Our estheticians are available to provide micro-dermabrasion services.

Photodynamic Therapy

Our office offers photodynamic Blu-U therapy for the treatment of photodamage. Performed in our office, the procedure is a blue light-based treatment which involves the application of a light-sensitizing chemical, followed by an incubation period and subsequent Blu-U light treatment.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy using hypertonic saline is a  treatment option for spider veins of the legs. The hypertonic saline solution is injected directly into the affected areas, often over a period of 1-5 sessions. Most patients use compression therapy (support stockings) following their treatment sessions to achieve maximal results.
