CO2RE Fractionated Resurfacing Laser

Unique to Nebraska, our practice offers treatments with the Candela CO2RE carbon dioxide resurfacing laser.  CO2RE is a versatile fractional carbon dioxide system that enables precise targeting and effective treatment of the skin’s surface, middle and deep dermal levels.  This laser is used for skin rejuvination and wrinkle reduction.  One treatment or a series of treatments may be performed based on the severity of sun damage and how much downtime a patient can sustain.

In addition, we use the CO2RE laser in ablative modes to treat superficial basal cell carcinoma (skin cancer) and actinic keratoses (precancer).

V-Beam Perfecta Laser

We offer a range of laser treatments using the state-of-the-art V-Beam Perfecta laser. From rosacea, facial veins, leg veins, birthmarks (port wine stains), angiomas, photodamage, to warts, the Perfecta laser is a versatile treatment option. The Perfecta uses a focused beam of light energy that is converted into heat energy to selectively destroy its target without damaging surrounding skin and tissue. Several treatment sessions may be necessary depending upon the condition being treated. Optimal results are achieved when the skin is free from suntanning.

Laser Hair Reduction

We use the state-of-the-art LightSheer DESIRE for the treatment of unwanted hair. As the pigment in the hair shaft is the target for the laser light, optimal results are achieved for those with dark hair and fair skin types. Multiple treatments are required to complete the process, as hairs throughout the hair cycle are targeted.

Blu-U Photodynamic Therapy

Our office offers photodynamic Blu-U therapy for the treatment of actinic keratoses (precancerous skin lesions), acne vulgaris, hidradenitis suppurativa, and photodamage. Performed in our office, the procedure is a blue light-based treatment which involves the application of a light-sensitizing chemical, followed by an incubation period and subsequent Blu-U light treatment. For many acne patients, the Blu-U light treatment alone may provide improvement.  Following treatment, the patient needs to avoid natural sunlight for 48 hours.
